Greetings! My name is Heather, originally from the US but currently reside in the UK. My educational background is in natural resource sciences and public administration. I have worked in education, and as a science teacher, for the past 15+ years. During my travels I fell in love with southern Africa and love to learn about the environment, flora and fauna. I love to learn and want to complete this training to enhance my knowledge and experience in the bush. If it leads to other opportunities and trainings – great! However for now, I’m doing this for me.

Hello, My name is Xaviera. I am from Canada. I decided to enroll in the “On Demand Field Guide Course” to learn more about the fauna, flora, and everything related to the biodiversity of South Africa. For now, it is for my personal knowledge, but I would probably like to eventually do the “35 days field guide practical course”. I have done independent safaris in SA and Kenya, and volunteered in a private reserve in SA, and discovered a real passion. With the time difference, and English being my second language, the “on demand” format course was the ideal choice, but I hope to be able to interact with other students during the process.
