Hello! My name is Annie. I am a creative conservationist supporting community and wildlife conservation via art. I am originally from the US and currently living in Germany. I conduct conservation based Artist in Residence programs and Art Safaris in safari lodges to help lodges explain their conservation efforts and stories to their guests. The paintings and sketches of the wildlife and landscape created while on residence are for sale, with profits from sales going back to local wildlife conservation organisations. I am excited to take this course because I feel that the knowledge gained will help me better explain the flora and fauna, and the hard work the wildlife and community groups are doing, …not to mention having a better knowledge of the environment I am painting in is a safer way to exist in the African bush. 🙂
